Nigeria’s chief of police turns into yellow fever – naija pikin

On Sunday, the Nigerian Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Abubakar, turned into a traffic warden or shall I say, a traffic policeman, as he alighted from his official car and directed actual traffic flowing on one of Abuja’a finest freeways .

This unusual official chore which is not within his portfolio being the highest cop in the land came with fanfare as Abubakar, fully attired in a traffic warden’s gear, white cutout sleeves and all, raised his hands professionally and guided Abuja traffic at the Finance ministry junction on Ahmadu Bello Way, Garki, in the city centre.
